Everything Greater Boston asks us most, from permits and stairs to long-distance and deposits.
We are fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts, we run our own trucks and W-2 crews (no day labor, no brokers), and we quote one flat rate in writing. We also pull your street permit and handle the triple-decker stairs that trip up out-of-town movers.
On most Boston streets you do, and we take care of it. We file the street-occupancy permit and post the no-parking signs a couple of days ahead so the truck parks right at your door instead of down the block, which keeps the carry short and the move fast.
Every day. Three-story walk-ups are the most common move in Dorchester, Southie, and Allston, so our crews are built for narrow stair turns and tight landings. Stairs are already in your flat rate, never an add-on at the curb.
Yes, and we book it early. September 1 is lease-turnover day across the student neighborhoods and the calendar fills fast, so reserve as far ahead as you can. We still take short-notice jobs when a crew is open.
Your things stay on our truck with the same crew from pickup to delivery, no depot swaps and no brokers. You get a written flat rate and a firm delivery window, whether you are headed to New York, down the coast, or across the country. That is the “beyond” in our name.
Full or partial packing with real materials, sturdy cartons, paper, bubble, and pads, boxed and labeled by room. It goes into your written estimate up front and is never tallied box by box on move day.
Very. The written flat rate is set from your room count, the access at both ends (stairs, elevator, parking), and the distance. As long as the job matches what you told us, the number does not move.
Furniture gets blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped, doorframes and banisters get padded, and floors and hallway runners go down before we carry a thing, which matters in a Back Bay brownstone or a tight three-decker hallway.
A week or two is comfortable, and month-end, weekends, and anything near September 1 book up quickest. We still fit in same-week and next-day moves when a crew is free, so it is always worth a call.
Seven days a week, all year. New England winters mean snow and ice, so we salt and shovel a path, keep the footing slow, and only push a date if a storm makes the roads unsafe.
A small, refundable deposit holds your crew and your date. The balance is due only when the job is done and you have okayed the final flat rate, and the estimate itself is always free.
Yes. Our crews come with the right dollies, straps, and ramps for uprights and grands, gun safes, gym rigs, and hot tubs, and that handling is priced into your flat rate from the start.
All of Greater Boston, from Dorchester and the city neighborhoods out to Cambridge, Somerville, Quincy, Brookline, Newton, Medford, and Malden, plus long-distance moves beyond Massachusetts. Not sure about your town? Just ask.
